Obnoxiously huge helmet despite correct size August 10, 2010 Ratboy55 (Hercules, CA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I've worn helmets for skateboarding in the past and I didn't think that this helmet would look so huge on my head. I bought a medium sized matte black helmet and when I received it, wow, totally huge. I went to a Sports Authority store to see the same helmets there (at a higher overhead price) to see if a small made a difference. This helmet is just flat out huge by default. When I wore it the first time around while riding my bike, my girlfriend thought I was going to Iraq to fight the war because she thought I had a military helmet on (lol). It was quite cumbersome to wear while riding my road bike. I didn't know if it was more of a hazard than a safety component to my regiment for riding bikes. I returned the item. Definitely not for me. I would probably focus on buying a helmet that doesn't make you turn into a pumpkin head. The photos of this helmet are quite misleading.
no good protection: sizing chart is inaccurate June 23, 2010 Amara Miles (usa) 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
This helmet has no protection around the front, back or sides.
Bad purchase.
Seller was slow to ship the item.
Over priced.
I like it. That's all April 24, 2010 C. Brunelle (Queens, NY) 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
Not much to say. If i ever land on my head and it breaks, then i won't like this helmet. but for now it's comfortable, easy to adjust, and doesn't look as lame as a lot of helmets.
Decent Helmet- Decent Price- simple but nice design April 17, 2010 bjetner I like this helmet because of its simple design. I'm not a fan of the helmets that make me look like an alien with a huge cone on the back of my head. I don't want a bunch of frufru things. It has a few vents which are nice. The strap is nice and soft so it doesn't chaff your neck. The outer shell is hard plastic which I like for some reason.
Overall this helmet is light. It also comes with a few different thickness of pads. The measurements for fit work well. Overall I am very happy with this purchase.
You are trusting your life to what you are wearing April 13, 2010 C-Monster (Wilds of Northern California) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
When I was riding Motorcycles many years ago and rode about twenty years or about 200,000 mile, I was using a Bell Helmet. You are trusting your life to what you are wearing. When I though I want to get a bicycle to partly relive my motorcycle days and partly for local transportation, I got a Bell bicycle helmet again. As usual the quality is very good. The color is molded in the plastic and you can adjust the liner inside the helmet with spare pad that come with it. The only thing I didn't like is the fact that Amazon dose not carry this type of helmet in a large white (I got a plane black one). Once you get the helmet adjusted to fit you head, you hardly know you are wearing it.
